-A new door to higher education opened here recently for Navy
,
personnel assigned to NAS Jax with the advent of a Navy Campus for
secondincome Achievement (NCFA) office in Bldg. 500.
A major breakthrough in academic education,NFCA's wide ranging
program will allow the pursuit of off-duty education in a manner that
may be the most comprehensive educational opportunity offered by;
the Navy.
The unique feature of the program is that Navy personnel of all)
grades can participate without worry of fulfilling reside
? requirements. Mobility is no longer a factor prohibiting degr
completion.The .
essentials of the NFCA are;:
1. A contract for degree between the institution and the individual,
2. An agreement by the institution to waive residency requiremen
and to allow up to 75 percent of the degree requirements to be me

Two professionally trained counselors, Mr. John Planchak and Mr.
