Jax-Roiorhead Rumble VI, the annual convention of helicopter pilots, will be

held here Feb. 14-15. a 0 1 E .

All helicopter pilots and their ladies are cordially Invited to attend.

Hosted this year by HS-1, the sixth annual Rumble is slated to be the biggestand i" '

best in the convention's history. \

This year's event will start at 4 p.m. on Feb. 14 with a "Pre-flight Briefing" at

the NAS Jax Officers Club and will continue through the weekend until Sunday

morning.The .
two-day gathering will include an 18-piece dance band and the exchange of

experiences among seasoned aviators. (

The main business of the evening was selection of officers. Electedto

readers with some exotic recipe requiring numerous paragraphsand
endless hours to prepare.
This one is short, easy to prepare and, for those who like sweet
potatoes, delicious.
QUICK CANDIED YAMS
1V4 cups sweet potatoes (cut up) 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1V4 cups sugar Vi cup chopped pecans

Boil l pound sweet potatoes, in enough water to cover, until tender.
Combine sugar,juice off potatoes,and the lemon juice.Bring to a boil.
Arrange potatoes in a casserole dish. Pour syrup over potatoes and
sprinkle nuts over the top of the potatoes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Hobby Show to highlight Open House


Jax-Leisure time activities of Navy employees will be on display at NARF S r
March 9 when the Jacksonville Naval Air Station Association sponsors its"Open
House". '

Employees of the NAS Complex and members of their families are invited to ::4 i
exhibit arts,crafts and collections or demonstrate any of their hobby skills.
Prizes will be awarded to winning entries in each category.

Visitors will be conducted through NARF's production areas from 1-5 p.m. fora
first-hand look at facilities supporting the processing of aircraft, engines and
components required by Fleet operating units. "f fk a "

Static displays will be set up throughout the shop areas with key personnel on a k
hand to explain production procedures. Some aircraft will be open for public
inspection.The .

Association stresses that it.is not limiting participation in the ,Open Houseor
hobby show to NASA members; its purpose is to have a meaningful "family
day"for all who work aboard the NAS Complex.

Anyone interested in participating in the Hobby Show is asked to call NARF
