Jax-Two weeks ago we ran a recipe for pastry with the intention of ;jj
alsoproviding a recipe for pecan pie which could be used to fill that :'
pastry. Due to space limitations in that edition the pecan pie recipe .
was omitted. We are presenting it now.PECAN .

"i' PIE
INGREDIENTS: 3 eggs (beaten), 'Vt cup sugar 1 cup dark corn
w. syrup, teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, Vi cup melted butter or
margerine, 1 cup pecan meats,unbaked 9-inch pastry shell.
:a Mix eggs, sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla, butter and pecans. Pour
mixture into pie shell and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees.

} UPSIDE-DOWN CAKE
This week we are featuring an additional recipe.: Our upside-down
cake can be made with a variety of fruits. We usually make .it with
pineapple slices with a cherry in the center of each slice. It can be
made with canned fruit or cooked dried fruit pineapple, apricots, .. .i
