"A couple of \ears ago. Gulf

"The foot bone's connected to the...head bone!"
At Dr. Kurpa's office we know how the feet are the
foundation of the entire spinal pelvic structure. Any.
fallen arch or misalignment in the feet can cause pain
(now or later) in the knees, hips, back or neck and .
even cause them to wear out prematurely. Many spinal
conditions are actually the result of feet that are poor-
ly supported, and we can fix that! -
We Now Have The Associate"T Platinum from
Foot Levelers. The Associate Platinum is a digital scanner that
examines your feet and each of the foot's three arches. It prints
a color photo of your feet to show where you may have issues
that could affect the rest of your body. We then can recommend

blocks or so from his old work-
place.
In all the years he's lived there,
several decades now, nothing like
this has ever happened. He said he
was shocked by the intrusion, but
not changed by it.
For 62 years, Cooper has been a
member of Progressive 12, a local
social organization that does many
things to help families in need and
young people in particular.
In his retirement years he's been
able to spend more time in the
organization which has so far put
four young people through Chipola
College, regularly feeds the needy
at Christmas and Thanksgiving,
and sponsors a big Easter egg hunt
for kids each year. Most recently,
the club donated $500 to a family

Holmes
Sheriff's Office, the case began
Oct. 25. On that date, a property
owner at a farm on Bonifay-
Gritney Road reported that a 120-
gallon propane tank which didn't
belong to him had appeared on the
T farm, and that several hundred dol-
lars worth of scrap metal that he

whose home burned down a few
days ago. The club raises the
money it needs in a variety of
ways. In fact, Cooper had acquired
two of his guns by buying raffle
tickets for fundraisers put on by the
Progressive 12. When he won those
raffles, he'd added the firearms to
his gun rack, bringing his collec-
tion to seven. He engraved them all
with the following: KOOP2162.
The gun rack also has a drawer
which contained the silver dollars.
"They'd been there so long, I'd for-
gotten they were there," Cooper
said. "I've got one, in my pocket
that (the thief) left behind."
Although Cooper suspects the
theft might have been the work of a
young person, he says that doesn't
change his view of young people in

general and that it won't alter his
life view.
Being violated in this way won't
keep him from reaching out t6 the
kids who need him, he said.
"This doesn't affect that whatso-
ever," Cooper said. "Whoever did
it, somewhere down the line was
short of something, didn't seem to
care about anything." '
On Sunday, a group of friends
helped him put his house back in
order, and by Monday noon all was
back to normal.
Police are hoping Cooper's
engravings will help lead investiga-
tors to the firearms.
The handguns, shotguns and
rifles were taken from Cooper's
home between the hours of 9:30
a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Saturday.

Continued From Page 1A

Engraved on each were the let-
ters and numbers KOOP2162.
According to a report from the
Marianna Police Department, the
back door of the home was forced
open and all the rooms were ran-
sacked.
The guns taken were, as follows:
A 12-gauge Remington shotgun,
two 22-caliber handguns of an
unknown make, one 38-caliber
Remington handgun, a 410-gauge
Remington rifle, a 22-caliber
Remington rifle, and a 30-06 rifle
of unknown make with a top-
mounted scope.

where the firearms might be is

did own had gone missing.
The next day, the property owner
reported that he'd seen a truck with
a propane tank matching the one
left behind by suspected thieves.
Investigators eventually learned
that the propane tank left on-the
farm had been stolen from a resi-

dence in Bonifay. A 17-year-old
white male is facing theft charges
for his alleged involvement in both
incidents. Authorities say he has
admitted to leaving the stolen tank
behind at the farm so that he could
load the more expensive scrap
metal items into the bed of the
T

truck he was using. Most of the
stolen property has been recovered
and returned to the respective own-
ers.
The Bonifay Police Department
has taken over further action in the
propane tank theft.
