HAMMONDSPORT, N. Y., Nov. 6.-
A Contract has just been closed here
by Mrs. H. .A. Arnold of Florida,
whereby she become the owner of
an aeroplane of the Curtits type, In
which she intends to aake lights.
Mrs. Arnold owns a ziaalkcent
country home near the East Coast of
Florida, 160 miles from Jacksonville.
The grounds and outlying c untry are
admirably adapted to aviation. She
Is an enthusiast on the subJect, and
wishes to experiment In aviation.
Mrs. Arnold watched a flight by
Herring In Indiana, and received then
the first impetus to attempt expert*
ments In the air. Some tinu. agp she
came to hammandoport with the ex-
iectation of seeing an a, ropane. In
flight, but was disappointed. During
the week the weather conditions
were unfavorable for exhibitions.
The aeroplane pughased is the owM
used by Curtis In Chicago and at the
Hudson-fulton celebraUti. It has a
thirty-horse-power watewoooled egine
and is equipped with the ew tap eo
four-blade propeller. The Mdhlne
