given before the legislative insurance

The expectation of n arrest grew
out of the action of the committee yes;
terday when assaltant District Attor-
ney Rand at the conclusion of the
testimony of George Plunkitt, who hAd
declared he did not sign a voucher for
$901 for legal expenses to willch hie
name wa saitated. The voucher had
been paid by The Mutual Life Itisir-
auce company. This evidence was fol.
lowed by testimony showing that other
vouchers for legal expenses had been
used to collect funds from the Mutual
Life Insurance company for the maintl
nuace of a house at Albany, where the
Mutual If(e Insuracre company agent
was quartered and where members of
the leglsiatlve insurance committee
were entertained.
