... f- -y Guenther said he decided to sell the tickets through the
mail to eliminate problems of previous years. Last October,
some students waited in the heat at Florida Field for more than
.,t. three hours to buy Growl coupons.
The idea for selling tickets through the mail came up two
years ago. In 1988, then-zoology junior Mark Rejtman gave UF
officials and student leaders a petition suggesting Growl
tickets be sold through the mail signed by disgruntled
students and alumni.
UF ticket manager Bill Holloway said the University Athletic
Association agreed to include the Growl order forms with the

included in the $1 increase in ticket prices.
"The tickets will be distributed the same as every other
year," Holloway said. "This just eliminates the lines."
Each ticket will cost $6 and students may order only one
ticket each. Married students may buy one extra ticket for
their spouses. Each order for a spouse's ticket must include a
photocopy of the spouse card.
Ticket orders will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis
.\ ..... and extra tickets will be sold as guest coupons. Like season
,. football passes, Growl coupons will not be mailed to students.
.. Students must take a fee card and picture ID to Gate 13 of
Florida Field from Sept. 17-28 to pick up their coupons.
Coupons can be exchanged for tickets the first week in
October and students may redeem up to 14 coupons at one
