UF students soon may be able to take a new

about the differences between cultures and
how to better relate to people of other races.
The Quality of Life Task Force approved the
course Thursday night, along with 10 other
recommendations, including hiring more
black and Hispanic professors and sponsoring
retreats that focus on race relations.
The recommendations will go directly to UF
President John Lombardi!after the committee,
appointed to devise ways to improve the lives
of UPs black and Hispanic students, narrows
down its list of 34 possible suggestions. The
deadline is April 15.
