GENERAL INFORMATION.

Ticket Offices are open in ample time for passengers to procure
tickets and get baggage checked before trains depart.
Purchase Tickets before getting on trains at all stations where
there are ticket agents. Conductors' rates are higher than agents
rates.
Passengers should always purchase tickets of the Company's
Agents, and not from unauthorized parties. We give this caution
that the Company may not be censured for enforcing its rules to
protect its interests against lost, stolen, fraudulent or expired
tickets.
Coupon Tickets via the various routes, to all important points,
are on sale at principal stations, and agents will give all desired
information, maps, rates, time-tables, etc.
Notice.--All time-cards and rates are subject to change without
notice.
Children over 5 and under 12 years, half fare; under 5 years free,
when accompanied by parents or guardians.
Corpse Rate is one first-class full fare. Corpse will not be re-
ceived unless proper certificate is fastened on top of box, showing
that death was not caused by contagious or infectious disease, and
must be accompanied by some person in charge.
Baggage.-150 pounds of baggage is carried free on each full
ticket, 75 pounds on each half ticket. No single piece of baggage
weighing over 250 pounds will be checked. Baggagemen are not
allowed to check baggage until they have examined your ticket,
As a matter of precaution, have your name and address plainly
marked on your trunk; and make a note of your check number,
for, in case of losing your check, it would be much easier to prove
your property. Be in time at the station if you have baggage to
be checked, and avoid the possibility of having it left for the fol-
lowing train.
Sleeping Car Berths Reserved.-Parties desiring berths in the
Pullman Sleeping Cars can secure them by applying to the agents
named on third page of cover.
f, placed before schedule figures, indicate flag station-stop
only when passengers are to get on and off. s, trains stop. Trains
do not stop where time is omitted.

has special messengers on passenger trains of the PLANT SYSTEM
and has connections with reliable express companies North, East
and West. Money Orders sold at all of its Offices.
