FROM ICHETUCKNEE SPRINGS TO SUWANNEE RIVER


Mileage


1. To the north of bridge at Fargo.
2. To the north of bridge at Fla. 6.
3. Prospect Church Road; go approximately 11.5 miles north on SR
135 from White Springs city limits; turn east on graded road.
4. Cone Bridge Road; approximately 7.5 miles north from White
Springs city limits on SR 135; take graded road to east and follow
to river.
5. Approximately 5 miles from junction of Fla. 6 and US 441; take
Cone Bridge Road (graded) east to river.
6. On west side of bridge, 1 mile southeast of White Springs toward
Lake City on US 41.
7. First dirt road to east by SR 136 bridge into White Springs.
8. By old Spring House next to Stephen Foster Center.
9. Go 2.3 miles south on SR 136 from White Springs; turn west on
dirt road and follow to river.
10. Go 5.6 miles north on US 129 from Live Oak city limits to fork
with old US 129 (US 129 to left of agricultural inspection station,
old US 129 to right); take old US 129 to dirt/rock road to east just
before old bridge; take this road to river.
11. Spirit of Suwannee Campground admission charge 7.3 miles north
of Live Oak on US 129; turn west at sign, County park with overnight
camping allowed.f. Thir rpn temporarily nidln4&4
12. Go approximately 5 miles west on US 41 from Jasper; turn left at
Alapaha Forestry Tower onto SR 6; when SR 6 forks with graded
road, take graded road to Alapaha River, cross Alapaha and turn
south.
13. Take US 90 through Live Oak going west; turn north (Houston
Avenue) at first traffic light after Baptist Church; take highway
(SR 249-Nobles Ferry Road) to northwest; continue to river.
14. Go west on US 90 to Suwannee River State Park sign; turn north
and go into park.
15. Anderson Spring turn south on first hard road (River Road)
after State Park sign (approximately .5 miles); turn west after
crossing 1-10 to river.
16. Go approximately 1 mile west after crossing Dowling Park bridge;
turn north onto hard road for 1.4 miles; turn east and proceed 2.2
miles to river.
17. First hard road to north before bridge at Dowling Park (going
west).
18. Turn south on SR 251 after crossing Dowling Park bridge (going
west); go approximately 1.4 miles and turn east on third road
down 251; follow to end.
19. Blue Springs Turn south on SR 251 after crossing Dowling
Park bridge (going west); turn on 251B at junction of SR 251,
251 B, and 348A; east and south for approximately 2 miles then
turn west on gravel road to springs.
20. On south side of bridge on SR 51 to east in park.
21. Telford Springs turn east on dirt road at agricultural inspection
station; then turn south and go approximately 1 mile; turn east to
springs.
22. From SR 51 take SR S-349 south approximately 10 miles to
Allison Road; proceed on Allison Road for approximately 1 mile,
turn south onto dirt road to river.
23. Owen's Springs go through Mayo to east on SR 20 (US 27) to
SR 251 (to north); follow to spring.
24. From Branford take US 129 north to SR S-248; continue straight; instead
of turning south at curve, follow dirt road to river.
25. At State Park to south of bridge in Branford.
26. Take US 27 east from Branford for approximately 1 mile from
city limits; turn south and go approximately 2 miles; take dirt
road to river.
27. From Branford take US 27 west; turn south on SR 349 and go
approximately 4.5 miles; turn onto SR 342 to east; at junction of
SR 138 and 342, follow 138 to river.
28. Take US 27 east from Branford to junction with SR 49 (US 129);
turn south on 49 and go approximately 4.2 miles to Butler
Boulevard; take Butler Boulevard west to river.
29. Take US 27 east from Branford to junction with SR 49 (US 129);
turn south on SR 49 to Oak Avenue; continue .3 miles south of
Oak Avenue and turn west on limerock road; follow to river.
30. From SR 49, turn west onto SR 340; go approximately 1.3 miles
past Mt. Nebo Church and turn north onto graded road; then go
approximately 1.5 miles and turn west at Townsend Cemetery
onto Marion Drive; then turn north and follow to river.
31. At wayside park to north of bridge on SR 340.
32. Guaranto Spring turn south from SR 340 to SR 349 (US 129A);
go approximately 1.5 miles and turn west onto gravel road to
springs. County park with overnight camping allowed.
33. From SR 340 turn south on 341 and go approximately 4.25 miles;
turn west on road and go to town of Wannee; turn north to river.
34. Sun Springs follow SR 341 southwest from Bell; turn south at
junction (SR 341 and 341A); go approximately 1.75 miles and take
road to west.
35. Hart Springs from Bell take 49 or SR 341 to SR 232; turn
west on 232 to intersection of SR 344; take 344 to springs.
36. Go approximately 3 miles north on SR 349 (US 129A) from Old
Town city limits; take road to east and follow to river.
37. From Bell take SR 341 to SR 232. Turn west on SR 232 for one
mile and south for approximately 4 miles; turn west and continue
to river.
38. Access by river bridge in park off of SR 55 (US 27A) in town of
Fannin Springs.
39. On west side of river just south of SR 55.
40. New Pine Landing county park; second road to east after Faith
Tabernacle on SR 349 approximately 4.75 miles south of Old
Town. Follow to river.
41. Manatee Springs admission charge follow SR 320 west
from Chiefland to Manatee Springs State Park.
42. Fowler's Bluff follow SR 345 west from Chiefland to SR 347;
go west on 347 to Fowler's Bluff.
43. Follow SR 349 south to town of Suwannee; turn to left on hard
road; cross bridge and follow road to river.
44. From Fort White go 2.2 miles north on SR 47; turn west on SR 238
and proceed approximately 3.7 miles to State Park entrance.
44. From Branford go 7 miles east on US 27; turn north on SR 137 for
1.35 miles; turn east on SR 238 for approximately 4 miles to State
Park entrance.
45. From Fort White go approximately 5 miles west on US 27.
45. From Branford go approximately 8.5 miles east on US 27 to
bridge.
46. From Branford go 4 miles east on US 27; turn south on US 129
(SR 49) and go 2.8 miles to bridge.
