IntroOlt ut0o
This booklet, with its pictures and
descriptive matter, is but a feeble attempt
to give you an idea of the beauties and
attractiveness of ANNA MARIA BEACH-
the place destined to be the greatest year-
round resort city in Florida.
*Read the descriptive matter carefully and
avail yourself of the first opportunity to
visit ANNA MARIA BEACH by one of the
many transportation lines which touch here
regularly, and see for yourself what has
been done to convert an island-a wilder-
ness two years ago-into the most attractive
resort in the South.

ANNA MARIA BEACH is headquarters for tar-
pon fishermen, and during the months from
April to August hundreds of the SILVER
KING are landed within a radius of four miles
from ANNA MARIA BEACH.

S- AN MAIA EACH
FAIOUS -B
YEAR-ROU1iJ ANNA MARIA BEACH is
RESOT, on the north end of Anna
Maria key, one of the
islands forming a chain which separates the
Gulf of Mexico from Tampa Bay. It is
34 miles from Tampa, 17 miles from St.
Petersburg, 10 miles from Manatee River
points, and is accessible to all steamboat
transportation lines. It has beautiful
beaches, shady groves, a fine harbor, ex-
cellent bathing and fishing, two general
merchandise stores, a post-office, local and
long-distance telephone service, a bath
house, pavilion, dairy, poultry and truck
farms, ice delivery, many miles of cement
sidewalks, four flowing wells-and all of
this accomplished in three years.
In the near future we will have electric
lights, and a street car line connecting the
Island with the mainland is now under
contemplation.
Our Company has expended more than
$100,000.00 in development, and further
development planned will require the ex-
penditure of at least $200,000.00 more.
Property VALUES have increased in
2Y2 years from 50% to 200%. There is
NO BETTER INVESTMENT IN
FLORIDA. Lots are still cheap, the pay-
ments are small, with no taxes or interest,
and a liberal discount for all cash. Each
of our deeds contains a clause that no
intoxicants can, at any time, be sold on the
property.

What Me guarantee
With the sale of every lot, we guarantee
to clear and grade same ready for building;
lay a 4-foot 6-inch sidewalk in front of the
lot, and lay a water main through the alley
from which connection can be made to the
cottage.

SPRING AND PICNIC GROUNDS

IN this beautiful park, consisting of a
whole block, has been erected a large
pavilion where frequent entertainments
and social gatherings are held. Through-
out the park and grounds have been set
numerous kinds of shade trees, flowers and
shrubbery, and its central location, which
you will note on the plat on page 7, makes
it an ideal place for an outing-including
picnic dinners-for visitors from nearby
towns.

THIS picture was made at one of our
deep-flowing wells. ANNA MARIA
BEACH has four of these wells, with
a combined capacity of more than two
million gallons daily of pure, flowing
artesian water. The water is slightly
sulphur, but is very pleasant to the taste
and contains medicinal properties, which
makes it adaptable to people suffering with
stomach, bladder and kidney troubles, and
it is also a mild laxative.
From these wells a large pipe line has
been laid throughout the entire property,
and is connected into all of the cottages,
making this health-giving water accessible
to all.

"SURF" AND "NELLIE"

THE two launches pictured above are
among the many that ply between
Tampa Bay, Manatee River points,
and ANNA MARIA BEACH. This is the
rendezvous for the yachtsmen and launch
owners. The wide expanse of Tampa Bay
affords the yachtsmen the best place on the
Coast of Florida for boating.
The U. S. Government forts, known as
Fort Dade and Fort Desoto, are only four
miles from ANNA MARIA BEACH and in
plain view. They are visited frequently by
large parties from ANNA MARIA BEACH,
who are accorded the freedom of the forts
by the officers in command. This is one of
the many interesting side trips from ANNA
MARIA BEACH.
These launches perform the passenger
and mail service between Manatee River
points and ANNA MARIA BEACH, and
parties from that section can obtain infor-
mation regarding schedules of the boats at
the respective wharfs at any of the cities
on Manatee River.

The above picture represents a catch of only three hours' fishing by the gentlemen shown in the
picture. There are fourteen varieties shown, and it frequently happens that more than twenty varieties
are caught at a single fishing trip.

Everything for the convenience of the fisherman is arranged for on the big dock,
which extends seven hundred and seventy-six feet out into Tampa Bay, and is considered the
finest pier on Tampa Bay. On this pier has been erected a store, where all kinds of fishing
tackle, boats, and bait can be had at a reasonable price.

There is also a restaurant operated under the same management as the hotel, where
parties can obtain early morning breakfasts and lunch for fishing trips, also regular meals of
the shore-dinner variety; and for guests at the hotel no extra charge will be made.

SURF BATHING

ANNA MARIA BEACH boasts of something that no other Gulf resort has-
beautiful, hard sandy beaches and superb bathing on both the Bay and Gulf sides of the
Island. Bathing is enjoyed here by thousands EVERY 5MONTH IN THE YEAR.
Not a suspicion of an undertow; perfectly safe for unattended women and children.

A large casino to be built over the water, with a t 1 .. ,-ii slide, pavilion, refresh-
ment parlors, etc., will prove an additional attraction.

Beautiful seashells are gathered from the Gulf beach.
