No report has yet been made, in either house of congress, on the subject of the Seminole war, nor on
the subject of the bank of the United States ; two topics on which, the first particularly, much interest
is excited.
If we are not misinformed, the military committee of the house of representatives, who have the first of
these subjects under consideration, find some difficulty in agreeing on the report; and, whatever it
may be, it will not fail to be opposed by a formidable minority of the committee. This report, we learn,
may be expected to-day.
What is to be the nature of the report of the Bank committee, we have not heard ; but we should not
be surprised, if in that committee also there should be variant opinions. This report is looked for
during the present week.
