Bibliography................................. Index .. .. .. . . . . . . . . BIBLIOGRAPHY AND INDEX OF ARTICLES RELATING TO THE GROUND-WATER RESOURCES OF FLORIDA By A. G. Unklesbay, Ralph C. Heath, and Harry M. Peek INTRODUCTION This bibliography has been compiled as a guide to the available literature on the ground-water resources of Florida. It incorporates an unpublished bibliography of literature available through 1945, which was compiled by A. G. Unkle sbay while he was a member of the U. S. Geological Survey. Literature made available from 1945 through 1954 was compiled by Ralph C. Heath. Additional compilation, indexing, and finalpreparation were done by Harry M. Peek. Although the search for material has been thorough, it is likely that a few publications or papers have been omitted. Users of this bibliography are requested to report such omission to the Florida Geological Survey or to the U. S. Geological Survey, Tallahassee, Florida. Publications are listed alphabetically by authors, and the entries of each author are listed chronologically under his name. Papers having more than one author are listed under the name of the senior author, but are referred to under the name of the co-author also. The index that follows the bibliography includes areas, subjects, and cross-references in alphabetical order. Pub- lications are referred to by the name of the author, or senior author, and by the year of publication. Most of the publications listed are on file in the library of the Florida Geological Survey, and in the larger public, 2 FLORIDA GEOLOGICAL SURVEY college, or universitylibraries in the State. Copies of many of these publications are available for distribution to the public and may be obtained fromthe publishing agency. The unpublished material is not generally available for distri- bution, but it is on file in the library of the Florida Geological Survey or the U. S. Geological Survey at Tallahassee. Use of geologic names in the annotations is that of the authors of the annotated papers and does not necessarily conform to that of the U. S. Geological Survey and the Florida Geological Survey. The physical features, hydrologic characteristics, and salinity studies of the principal lakes, springs, and sinkholes in the northern part of Pinellas County are described.
