Abstract:
The Gatewood Diaries consist of five books, marked Diary-1 through Diary-5 as well as a handwritten volume called a "Want Book" containing various writings on Christian thought. In addition, there are some loose papers inside some of the diaries. The diaries were written by Minnie Clark Gatewood, wife of Rev. George Gatewood. The couple lived in Chokoloskee Florida and the diaries were written between 1892 and 1900.
