HISTORY
One morning, twenty-two years ago, a small group of women met after a "Gym" class at the Ancon Y.M.C.A., as the Clubhouse was then known, and organized themselves into a Club under the leadership of Mrs. E. A. Steele, who saw the need of creating a community interest to take away the "temporary feeling" that prevailed, ard to make the women feel that they belonged here. Thus on June 6, 1916, the Ancon Morning Musicale Club was founded with the object of "mutual helpfulness, counsel, and the cultivation and development of musical and literary excellence".

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

We always look forward with great anticipation to the Opening Day of our club year. It is the time of the year when vacations are over for most of us and activities in school life, social life and club life begin.
The current of time carries us on inevitably toward our destiny. No single moment can be re-lived save in memory. The very thought that we shall not pass this way again should challenge us to make the most of every human contact, every opportunity for service and every experience of genuine pleasure.
As we spend the hours together this year in our club gatherings may they bring to each member the feeling that these are hours well worth placing in our memories,

GENERAL FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S CLUBS
COLLECT FOR CLUB WOMEN
Keep us, 0 God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense, and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in judgment, and always generous.
Teach us to put into action our better impulses straight-forward and unafraid.
Let us take our time for all things; make us grow calm, serene and gentle.
Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences; that in the big things of life we are as one.
And may we strive to touch and to know the great woman's heart of us all; and, 0 Lord God, let us not forget to be kind.
-MARY STEWARI

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF MUSIC CLUBS

COLLECT
We praise and thank Thee, Father, for the gift of music. Through us, as channels of Thy grace, may this blessed legacy be shared with all mankind.
Grant that we may exemplify in our own lives the harmony of Thy great purpose for us.
Give us magnitude of soul and such understanding hearts that we, who make music, be as players upon rightly tuned instruments responding to Thy leading.
Let us with renewed consecration dedicate ourselves to the purpose of our Federation to bring the spiritualizing force of music to the inner life of our nation. Open our minds that divine knowledge and wisdom may teach us how best to execute our pledge.
FEDERATION HYMN
To Thee, our God, Creator, King,
To Thee our hymn of thanks we sing.
Alleluia! Aleluia!
Thy boundless mercy crowns our days.
Thine be the need of joyful praise.
Alleluial Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluial
Thy truth and patience make us know, Toward Thy perfection make us grow,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thy providence our path has led,
Be Thy good grace our souls are fed,
Alleluia! Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
Free stands our country, blessed by Thee,
Bless Thou our souls with liberty,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
From selfish pride oh set us free!
With simple hearts to worship Thee,
Alleluia! Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia; Alleluia!
