Abstract: In a knowledge economy employers are looking for workers with critical thinking and problem solving skills. These skills are developed through information literacy training in the K-16 education system, but do not always translate into the workplace. Information literacy skills training needs to be developed to benefit adult learners in the workplace if the skills learned in the educational system are insufficient. The intersection of information literacy and adult education is still under construction.
