Abstract: CCT would like to welcome to Mike Conlon, PhD, Associate Director and Chief Operating Officer of the University of Florida Clinical and Translational Science Institute for a discussion on programming and data management, and system architecture. Dr. Conlon has conducted clinical research in informatics, information security, biomedical informatics, electronic data capture, on-line clinical trials, identity management, and health information technology. He is also the Principal Investigator of VIVO, an open-source, semantic based web framework meant to foster collaborative research across the sciences.

Data Reasoning Data integration continues to be a serious bottleneck for the expectations of increased productivity in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology domain relationships between gene, protein, interaction, pathway, target, drug, disease and patient and currently consist of more than 5 billion RDF statements.
