The Price Library is truly among the elite institutions of the United States. Its global resources were indispensible
to my biography of Moses Levy, and enabled me to trace his career through diverse Jewish communities of the 19th century trans-Atlantic

Antebellum Reformer, and winner of the Florida Historical Society's 2006

I did not come to the University of Florida in 1990 to study Jewish history. That decision would not come until after I was introduced to one the Southeast's great treasures - the Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica. It was in and around this outstanding library that I wrote my dissertation on Savannah Jewry.
