ARUBA ESSO NEWS Fi Fire Section's Newest Pump Truck Is Compact, Easier to Operate s Lago's Fire Section recently received its newest asset: a pumper truck with a solution tank capacity of 1000 gallons which can pump water and/or foam at the rate of 1000 gal- lons per minute. Provided with what is call- ed a "balanced proportioning system", foam making can be automatically or manually controlled for supplying foam solution between 3% and 6% mixed with water for fighting fires. The unit represents the lat- est in firefighting equipment for industrial use. It is more compact in size, has open and therefore more accessible hose connections and is simpler to operate because of a more compact control panel. Whereas the older fire trucks have only four outlets for connecting fire hoses, all on one side, the new truck has three connections on each side. The truck has also been equipped with double monitor nozzles for handling foam or water. In addition, the solu- tion tank of the new unit can be refilled during operations through a special connection.
