Fradl Returns
O. P. (Pepe) Fradl return-
ed to Comptroller's in the
middle of last month after
earning a BS degree in Bus-
iness Administration from the
Bowling Green State Univer-
sity in Ohio. He majored in
Accounting, while studying
under the Lago Educational
Assistance Program (LEAP).
After leaving Lago in Sep-
tember, 1965, Pepe completed
college in three years while
attending summer school.
Before going to college, he
had worked in the Financial
Section and now rejoins Lago
in Comptroller's Internal Con-
trol Section as an accountant.
Pepe, who studied at the
St. Dominicus College in
Oranjestad, took Lago-spons.

Receive Initial Award
At Management Dinner
Special guests at the man-
agement dinner at the Aruba
Golf Club September 27 were
two top CYI winners for Sep-
tember: William Woodley and
Benito Lampe.
Winning the second highest
top CYI for the year, Mr.
Woodley of Mechanical-M&C
received an initial award of
Fls. 885. His idea called for
using tapped and spiral groov-
ed pins in outriggers (legs) of
two cranes. The new pins eli-
minate replacement of other
pins which break frequently.
The idea represents savings in
repair time and material.

What would you do? Later it will be easy to say what should
have been done, but in a fire emergency you won't have time
to stop and think.
One thing you can do in advance is to find out where the
extinguishers are in your work area. A hand extinguisher could
prevent disaster if you know what to do immediately. Read the
instructions on each extinguisher to see what type fire it should
be used on and how to activate it. In an emergency there is no
time for reading labels.
Unless you've been instructed to do otherwise in the event of
a fire, you should:
- First be sure everyone gets out.

"Things turned out pretty
well with me and right now
we are buying our own home,"
says G. P. (Pedro) Brook,
who had formerly worked in
Comptroller's-Materials Sec-
tion.
In his recent letter to PR/
IR Manager B. E. Nixon, he
also extends his regards to
his friends in Aruba.
In February this year, Pe-
dro applied to Humble Oil's
office in Long Island and the
office manager there was very
impressed by his experience
background. He assisted Pe-
dro by placing an ad in a
news letter and soon Pedro
was called by the Piping Rock
Petroleum Co. in Oysterbay,
a distributor of Chevron
(Standard Oil of California).


A week later, he started as
office manager.
The letter further says:
"We are supplying all Chevron
service stations on Long Is-
land with Esso gasoline and
Atlas products."
Pedro's eldest son, Kenneth
Ph. Brook, who has a Mas-
ter's degree in mechanical en-
gineering from the Massa-
chussett Institute of Techno-
logy, is an engineer in Lago's
Mechanical.Engineering Div-
ision.
The present address of the
Brook family is: 47 Cooper
Lane, Levittown, N.Y. (11756).
However, in November this
year they'll move into their
own home at a new address in
Levittown.

contents of the Esso News to
his six.graders of the St. Do-
minicus College in Oranje-
stad, an idea was born among
the students. After consulting
with their teacher, they decid-
ed to either make a drawing
or write an essay on the topic


Prevention Campaign was so
great among the class, that
the teacher decided to send us
a selection of the best draw-
ings and essays.
Most of the essays stressed
the dangers of fires caused
by little children playing with
matches and adults being
careless in putting out their
cigarettes.

Sport Park Officials Honored

At Party Held at Sheraton Hotel


About one hundred sports
officials were guests at a
party held in their honor at
the Aruba Sheraton Hotel
Sept. 28. The program from 6
to 9 p.m. included a dinner,
raffling of door prizes and
announcement of the sports
official of the year.
After welcoming all pre-
sent, Lago Sport Park Board
Chairman Mateo Reyes thank-
ed the sports officials for a
job well done. Said he: "You
have done a tremendous job."
-He also thanked Lago Man-
agement for their support of
the sport activities.
Mr. Reyes further announc-
ed that this was the last par-


ty organized by the LSP
Board. He appealed to the of-
ficials to continue supporting
sports as they have done in
the past.

ed as door prizes went to J.
F. York, U. E. Gilhuys, Roy
van Putten, Jacinto Geerman
and A. Illidge.
In conclusion, Mr. Reyes
announced the Sports Official

a new piece of equipment used by the Electrical-Line Gang.
Compared with the old giraffe truck, it has several distinct
