Retirement Luncheon Started In 1948


Just over ten years ago in 194S to
be exact Lago inaugurated its retirement
luncheon program in order to
give all retiring employees company
recognition for their loyalty and
contributions during their working
years
Prior to this luncheons were organized
on a personal basis by a re
tirees co workers It was easy for
the reticent shy employee to be overlooked
under such a system so Lago
decided to broaden and standardize
this function The job of organizing
retirement luncheons became the duty
of the Industrial Relations Department
The Dining Hall with its experienced
chefs and waiters prepares
and serves the tasty respite
Over the years several hundred of
these gay functions have been prepared
for retiring employees In the
