The exercise was the first official field day of the Aruba
Amateur Radio Club Starting at 4 p m Saturday
March 7 the four teams of 14 operators plus their assistants
transmitted their special field day call letters
for a continuous 24 hour period Camps were located at
Dos Playa Quinta San Jose Ecury Estate Balashi and
Sea Grove Each team was self sufficient Transmitting
receiving equipment was either mobile or powered by portable
gasoline engine generators and the group prepared
meals in the field
