Pro-Enviro Fair

LEarth Day in the Sunny Caribbean, where oneness with nature remains an
experience! The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Virgin Islands
y Office is hosting its 3rd Annual Pro-Enviro Fair :
1I Date: April 20, 2007
SPlace: University of the Virgin Islands Sports & Fitness Center
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
1k The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's goal is to underscore the
Importance of the earth, and the need to protect our natural resources. The
agency has committed to making Earth Day a celebration annually,
highlighting successes in environmental enhancement. The Fair will feature
an array of presenters from govemment/non-govemmental agencies and
1 not-for-profit organizations. Presenters will have displays and hands-on
activities to inform and excite the youths, and the community. The Fair is
Open to the public; however, with a general focus on students in the
community. Up to 40 students per school from both public and private
i schools have been invited to attend the fair. We anticipate that roughly 800
students in grades ranging from 3rd through 12th, and interested members
from the public will attend. The 2007 Pro-Enviro Fair is co-sponsored by
the Virgin Islands Network of Environmental Educators (VINE); and will
S have representation from the Department of Planning & Natural Resources,
University of the Virgin Islands, Coral World, Environmental Rangers,
Virgin Islands Resource Conservation and Development Council, Virgin
Islands Marine Advisory Services, Virgin Islands Waste Management
Authority, and the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority. For additional
