Eulogy

Today we are gathered here to pay our last respects
to our beloved father, brother and friend Roy Arlington
Wallace.

Roy was born in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands on
October 13, 1920 to Olivia George Wallace and Maximilian
William Wallace. He was the youngest son of twelve
children.

Roy had a well known band in the early 40s through the
late 50s known as "Roy Wallace and His Orchestra". He
sang and played the trumpet and piano. He was married
to the late Rita Burke Wallace. From this union they had
five children. In 1961 he married the late Audrey Dumont
Quigley Wallace.

Roy worked in his early years at the West Indian
Company Dock as the paymaster. He later worked for
Henry Elliot Limited with Mr. Elloit Fishman. In 1961
he moved to live in Puerto Rico where he resided for
over twenty-two years. While in Puerto Rico he worked
with Encyclopedia Americana and Encyclopedia Britan-
nica. In 1983 he moved to California. In 1986 he returned
to St. Thomas after the death of his wife Audrey.
