Verna Alexandrina Sebastian
October 13, 1932 August 27, 1993
Humble, willing, unselfish, caring, and loving,
Verna Alexandrina Sebastian was a devoted wife,
mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born
to Mildred Drew and Norman Southwell in 1932,
"Blue", as she was affectionately known, grew up in
English Harbour, Antigua. She attended the Grace
Hill School in Liberta Village.
Verna migrated to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin
Islands in 1963 with her childhood sweetheart, John
E. Sebastian. The couple were married on August 22,
1964. Priscilla, Meryl, Byron, Charlesworth and
Eunipha were the products ofthat loving relationship.
Vcrna was a devoted family woman. She kept
up many family traditions especially with her cooking
of red herring, mackeral, anchoba (eggplant), fungi
and dumpling.
Employed at Limetree for ten years, Verna was
known to her co-workers as "Finger Licking".
Verna believed in the philosophy that it is more
blessed to give than to receive. May she rest in peace.

To our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother:
We loved everything we shared in our life together,
because we loved you so very, very much.
To the Best Mother-In-Law in the World:
Thank you for the loving relationship we shared... the
kind words, loving, bright smiles, and the helping hands that
were always outstretched.
Rest In Peace, Bernard Douglas
Tribute to Verna
Dada, you were like a mother to my children and myself.
It was your great help and support that brought us this far today.
Dada, you are not dead. You have gone to be in the arms ofyour
Savior. Sleep on, Dada, sleep on and take your beautiful rest. We
love you, but Jesus loves you best.
From Jimpie and Family
When the day of toil is done,
When the race of life is run,
Father, grant thy waried one
Rest forever more.
You were beloved by all.
Verna, we the members of Class of '57, will miss you.
Rest In Peace
Verna,
I will forever treasure the friendship we shared.
Your Friend, Peggy
