Abstract: The Enid M. Baa Library of the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums (DLAM) has acquired an extensive collection of memorial booklets since the early 1970's for U. S. Virgin Islands residents. Booklets are usually more than 10 pages long and give details of the life and family connections of the deceased.

She was affectionately known as "Baby"
sweet disposition.


Ada lived in Miami, Florida, for about 10 years, where she
served as admitting officer at the ChristSian Ho.prital. On
her return to St. Thomas in 1964 she was appointed
admitting officer at the Knud-Hansen Memorial Hospital
where she worked for more than 10.years until she was
forced to resign because of ill health.

"Baby" was a devout Roman Catholic, a hard worker, a true
goodwill ambassador, and a friend to many over the years.

She is survived by her husband Alwyn "Lad" Richards;
six children: John, Tess, Sally, Enrique, Albert, Alden,
fourteen grandchildren and many other relatives residing
here and abroad.
