Wilfred Alexander Penn was born in Tortola
B.V.I. on December 13, 1912 to Adela and
Reginald Penn. He attended school in Tortola.
He moved to St. Thomas, V.I. at a very early age.
In St. Thomas he went to work for Alfred
Lockhart, of Sugar Estate, for many years. He
then went to work for Public Works.
Wilfred and Celestina Jonas were married
April 26, 1944. Three years later they arrived in
New York City, where they lived for the next 29
years.
Wilfred worked for Hor and Hardart Co. for
25 years, where he retired at the age of 62.
After retiring Wilfred and Celestina returned to
St. Thomas, V.I. to spend the remainder of their
years.
He was a devoted husband and family man.
He was a very active church member.
Wilfred Penn was loved by many and will be
missed and remembered dearly. May he rest in
peace.
