J.Michael Emmanuel 2ixon

Michael Emmanuel Nixon better known as Kojack" or
"Cosmus" was born on October 11, 1941 to Veronica
Slyvester and Peter Nixon. The fourth of eight children,
Michael spent his youthful years on Grenada, the coun-
try of his heart.
Michael's love for his country led him to form life long
bonds with many of his special friends. Hunting, fishing,
cooking and gathering with his fellow countrymen brought
him the greatest pleasure.
The height of his life was when Michael was joined in
union with his first and only love Esterzie Mable Niles.
From this blessed love, Mr. and Mrs. Nixon brought
three children into the world.
In the late 60's the demand for his skill and the
opportunity to build a firm foundation on which he could
continue to provide for his family led him to St. Thomas.
A talented tile setter, his work can be seen throughout
the streets of St. Thomas from Main Street to the home of
the Honorable Roy Lester Schnieder.
Those who knew him closely shared in the glory when
Michael gave his life to the Lord. His countrymen and
other special friends acquired throughout a lifetime of
experiences gathered in his home to pray, study the word,
praise and give thanksgiving to his last day.
As Michael took the final step to rest with his Savior,
his testimony to us all was "Tell all my friends I love
them and to give their hearts to the Lord so we can meet
on the other side.

farewell

Nixon .. Sometimes being family means more than just smiles
and good times. It means caring for each other and building
bridges of trust, not being afraid to ask difficult questions and
accepting one another for who we are. It also means pulling
together when things get rough and most of all knowing that love
will be there no matter what. Honey, thanks for being all that to
me and so much more, not to mention for sharing your never
failing love.
Esterzie Mable

Daddy ... Our hearts are full of Joy and sorrow. Joy in knowing
that you are not suffering anymore and are at rest, and sorrow
because you are not physically here with us any longer. The one
thing that keeps us together is knowing that you are with our
Lord. Daddy, we assure you that your last testimony will be
fulfilled. We look forward to the joyous day that we will meet
again on the other side to live eternally with our Father.
Joy, Lisa and Kinisha

Bro... It was trily great to have you as a friend over the past
year we shared in strength, love and a greater understanding
in Christ. My brother, I will live within your testimony for it
will be a joyous reunion on the other side. May you rest in
peace as you begin your mission with the Savior.
Andy

Grandpa .It makes us sad to see you gone but we are happy
to have known you, love you and learn from you. No more
pain and suffering as you are now with our Father who you
taught us to love. We too, will give our hearts to the Lord so
we can be with you on the other side.
