Cora Lee Malone, affectionately known as "Betty," was born
on St. Thomas on October 5, 1947. She was the daughter of
Mary Malone and Romeo Malone.
Cora Lee attended the Charlotte Amalie High School and in
June, 1966 she graduated. After graduation she worked at the
Department of Finance for a couple of years, and then made
her way to New York where she worked with Ace Advertisers
until she got sick in 1985.
Betty was a very warm, affectionate and outgoing person
who really loved and enjoyed life. She cared about the welfare
of others, but at the same token, there was an air of indepen-
dence in her spirit. She was a very good singer, that isto say a
song bird, and she expressed her God-given talent in her voice.
She was a deeply religious person and attended church
regularly when in St. Thomas and was a devout member of St.
Stephen's United Methodist Church at Marble Hill Avenue in
the Bronx, New York.

Though we know we cannot put our eyes on your visage
we haven't forgotten you and the many smiles you have
brought the lttle things you say, and the compassion you
exhibit in times distress and illness. You will forever be
remembered by us and may your soul rest in peace until the
appointed time.
