Muddie and Auntie... Today we pay our final respects to you as you
journey on to your creator. In death, there is grief but there is solace that
you have gone on to a greater life.
While we will miss you in a manner that words can hardly describe, we
are comforted by the love and support that you gave us throughout our
lives. No mountain was ever too great; no mission was impossible for you
to attempt if it involved either of us. You taught us to love, to be loyal and
to pursue our life goals, even in the face of difficulties. You showed the
same loving and caring attitude for your friends and
neighbors.
The many cherished memories of you, particularly
your smile, will be ever present. Rest in eternal peace
until we meet again.

I extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Yvonne
Lerebous, affectionately known as "Miss Evanie."
Miss Evanie was known as a matriarch in the Savan area. She com-
manded respect from everyone who knew her. She dedicated many years
of her life to the fulfilling task of working with children. Miss Evanie was
the organizer of a carnival troupe in the children's parade for many years.
On behalf of the people of the Virgin Islands, Mrs. Farrelly joins me in
extending heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Yvonne
Lerebous. I pray they will be sustained by the fond memories of the good
times they shared with her. May she rest in peace.
Alexander A. Farrelly
Governor of the Virgin Islands
Dear Yvonne ... I learned this morning of the passing of your mother
and I reflected on the sadness this must cause you. A mother is always
someone special, most often the most important person in one's life, and
her death marks the passage of a lifetime of caring for and nuturing her
children. I know this is a difficult time for you but your sorrow will be
alleviated by cherishing the memories of her support which provided the
springboard for your achievements.
Monique joins me in expressing our condolences to you in this time of
your bereavement. We know you will be comforted by the knowledge
that your mother now rests in a happier place, in divine peace in the
mansion of the Lord.
Derek M. Hodge
Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands
Dear Dr. Thraen... I was sorry to learn of the passing of your beloved
mother, Yvonne, and I extend deepest sympathy on behalf of Krim and
myself, and the staff of the V.I. Department of Justice. Because you and
your mother were so close, I realize how deeply this loss will touch you. I
trust that you will find some comfort in knowing that
our thoughts are with you at this time.
May the good Lord strengthen, comfort and sus-
tain you during this period of bereavement.
