Lo oeuf belooed DuWaWye
Dwayne, our lovely, lively spirited child
You were, you are, our first beloved son
You will be with us always
Long past the time when our tears have dried
We will remember your sweetness...
That special sweetness of spirit so apparent
From the joyful event of your birth...
We will remember your roughly-tender ways
Toward your young brother, Vaughn;
We will remember your brotherly comaraderie
Toward your younger sister, Kim;
We will remember your earnest young face,
Its eager promise that when you came to be a man
You would be there to help your father
We will remember the same young assurances to
Your mother you would not lag in your duties
And it was always thus, from the very time
You could stand, and understand...
Dwayne, you will be with us always -
No matter how long the years ahead
Nothing in this life will dull our memories of you
Dwayne, you were, your our, our first beloved son.
