Frank Vernett Hoheb
1901-1991

Frank Vemett Hoheb, also known as "Franko"
was born June 16, 1901 here in St. Thomas to
Frederick Hoheb and Mary McBean, and three chil-
dren were born to this union with "Franko" being
the first.
Frank was educated in the St. Thomas school
system. He was trained as a joiner but never worked
at it. In his youthful days, he worked as a cook, first
with the US. Navy and later while traveling through-
out the Caribbean on such vessels as the Monoma
and The Chow Boat. Franko was later employed
with the Department of Public Works as a watch-
man until retirement in the 1970's.
For hobbies, he enjoyed reading and fishing and
was a fan of the New York Yankees baseball team.
Mr. Hoheb married the former Raphaela Q.
Testamark and two boys and three girls were shared
in this union.
He was loved, cherished and will be missed by
family members as well as all who knew him. Rest
in peace, "Franko."

Farewell

Daddy, as you are laid to rest today, let us remember that the Lord doesn't give
us more than we can bear. He has taken you out of your pain and suffering to be
with Him in glory everlasting. You were and inspiration to me Daddy, and I will
always cherish the talks we used to have about your childhood days because they
were so dear to you. God gave you good health and strength to live to see your
grandchildren and your great-grandchildren whom you loved so much, and now
He has called you home to be with Him. For us, it will always be a great loss and
we will miss you, Daddy. So, sleep on and be in peace until we meet in that place
that the Lord has prepared for us. We love you Daddy.
Your daughter, Altagracia
I will miss you dearly. For all the years I was away, the last two years I spent
were very touching. I always heard people say, "Once a man and twice a child." I
really see how it is to go from a child to a man, back to childhood. You lived a long
and wonderful life. I hope I live to enjoy my life as much as you did yours.
With all the love in the world ...
Your daughter, Etla
Gone but not forgotten. You will be missed by not only myself, but by lots of
people. You left an empty space in the hearts of your loved ones, but knowing that
you are finer than ever where you are now, we are all happy. I sure miss those
good old fishing days. That's why you are gone but not forgotten.
Your loving granddaughter, Kim Hoheb
We'll miss the time you spent with us. We'll be together in heaven, and that's a
must. Before you were gone I came knocking at your door, not knowing I
wouldn't see you anymore. We really love you, and yes we care. When things
were wrong you used to be there. Everything that I am saying is so very true. This
is why I dedicated this one to you. May you rest in peace.
Love, Derrick
I miss you. I remember the good times we had with Grandma talking about the
good old days. I remember your face would always light up as you heard about
the good old days. I enjoyed seeing that.
Love always, your granddaughter, Gaylene
I will miss you dearly. I remember going fishing with you. The last thing I
remember is the fall you had that broke your hip.
Love Jacquare, your great-grandson
We were not always there, but the times we spent together were precious ones.
We will miss you dearly.
The Martinez Family

"Da," as I call you whenever I come by and see you sitting on
the porch. I will miss seeing your happy face and smile when-
ever I joke with you.
^RH May you rest in peace.
Ruby & Family
