ARTHUR HODGE
January 5, 1901 November 20, 1990
Arthur Hodge, affectionately known as the Tinsmith or
Candy Man, was born on January 5, 1901, on the island of
St. Thomas. At a very young age, he moved to Tortola where
he was raised by an aunt. He advanced himself by learning
the trade of tinsmith, becoming one of the best, and was
very much in demand as such.
In 1934, he married the late Sarah Lucinda Leonard and
through that union fathered three children. He was a loving,
caring and devoted father.
Arthur is survived by his loving and devoted daughter,
Doris Hodge; his son, Hans Hodge; 11 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
On November 20, 1990, Arthur departed this earthly
life, leaving a lasting memory of love, family commitment,
hard work and perseverance.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Tributes

To Our Dear Daddy and Papa,
We will never say goodbye, only so long until we meet
again. You have left this earthly place, but we will always
love you dearly, and you will always be in our hearts. We
have so much to be thankful for. We thank God for the time
we have shared with you, and we thank Him for the long
life you lived. Although we will miss you, we know that
you are in a far better place.
May you find rest and peace in God's loving care.
Your Children and Grandchildren

Dear Daddy,
Thank you for being you. Your words of wisdom, guidance
and love will always be cherished.
I will always love you, and you will be missed dearly.
Your loving Daughter, Doris
