* EULOGY *
I'd like to begin this tribute to my father by referring you to
Revelations Chapter 21 verse 4.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there
shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away."
We've assembled together, on this occasion to say a final
farewell to Earl Vanito Heylger, Sr. who I'm sure most of you know
as "Benny".
He was a loving, joyful husband, brother, grandfather and
friend. Always concerned about the welfare of others. He touched the
lives of many. He had a concern for everyone he met and was always
ready to do anything he could to help the family, friends and even a
stranger for no one was a stranger to him. Sometimes it may have been
to lend a helping hand, other times, it may have been to lend a listening
ear. But no matter what the problem his concern was genuine and was
given from the goodness of his heart.
We are all better people for having known and loved him.
Although we will miss him greatly, we know this is not the end only a
new beginning, for according to Ist Corinthans Chapter 15 verses
20 thru 22.
"20. But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the
first fruits of them that slept."
"21. For since by man came death, by man came also the
resurrection of the dead "
22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be
A9 made alive. ML
I,
"A Farewell To Father"
There is an open gate at the end of the road.
Through which each must go alone.
And there, in light we cannot see, our Father claims
his own.
Beyond the gate our loved one, finds happiness and rest.
And there is comfort in the thought.
That a loving God knows best.
Erl Heyiger was a man with a big heart. There was
always room ft one more kind deed
