Abstract: The Enid M. Baa Library of the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums (DLAM) has acquired an extensive collection of memorial booklets since the early 1970's for U. S. Virgin Islands residents. Booklets are usually more than 10 pages long and give details of the life and family connections of the deceased.

Eulogy
Ubaldina Gibbs, affectionately known as
"Denie", is remembered for her years of sewing
school uniforms and carnival costumes, baking
tarts and sweetbreads, working for Mrs. Clarice
O. Lindo of La Gracia store and working with
Project STRIVE before losing her sight to
cataracts and glaucoma. Denie always gave of
herself without hesitation.
Born January 23, 1919, Denie departed this
earth on April 12, 1986. She leaves a legacy of
family and friends who will always remember
her as a giving and loving person.
