Ivan Joseph George, Jr.
November 28, 1994 August 6, 1994

Ivan Joseph George was born on November 28,1951, the fifth child of
the late Emelda Maria Richard& He grew up on Hospital Ground #101, a
family lot which has been uphela within the family tradition for many years.
He departed his life on August 6,1994 at the St. Thomas Hospital. He was
known by the name as Tiny or Smalls. Ivan has contributed much of his time
to music as a youngster in his teens. His favorite instruments were the
drums and symbols, for which he was known to have played in many musical
back up organization.
He played music aboard the Cunard Princess (Tourist Ship) when
docked at the West Indian Dock Unlimited. He also played music with the
Gus Civil Trio Orchestra, at the Virgin Islands Yacht Haven night club, and
with the Virgin Islands Pott Rum Steel Orchestra. But Ivan was not just all
about music, he was also very industrial with his hands, a jack of all trades,
and a master of one-mechanic-which became his tradition. He also served
in many other activities and organizations contributing voluntary services
to his community, such as Civil Defense Volunteer, for flood victims, and a
volunteer Firefighter, with the Virgin Islands Fire Department.
