Eulogy
EUNICE BLANCHE BERG BESS was born on September 19,
133 in St. Thomas. V.I. to Elita Francis Berg and Peter Viggo
Berg.
Eunice grew up in St. Thom receiving her elementary
education at Mrs. Jane Anne Ramsey's kind rrten and the
Abraham Lincoln (J. Antonio Jarvis) School. He secondary
education was received at the Charlotte Amalie High School,
from which she graduated in 1951.
After graduatng from high school, Eunice was employed as a
clerk in he busine office of the Department of Health.
Eunice iterupted her work activities long enough to be
married on October 15, 19M. to Joseph Baes. This unity has
lasted for almost 2 years.
Mrs. Bess after working as a clerk, gravitated to the teaching
profession. She taught at the Seventh-Day Adventist during the
early 'Os then with the Department of Education She also
pursued courses at The College of the Virgin Islands.
In 1975 she returned to teaching at the Seventh-Day Adventist
School and remained there until her first illness in 19M which
ended her teaching career.
Mrs. Bess was a devoted, diligent, responsible person, a
disciplinarian. She loved children, and they loved and respected
her.
As a member of the Sevent-Day Adventist Church. Eunice
held several positions during the years. She had also been a
member of the choir.
Her last illness was fatal and she succumbed to it on April 25,
IMS.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Joseph Bess,
mother, Elite Berg. brother Eugene Boyd Berg. sisters-in-law,
brother-in-law, step.dauhtemr nieces, nephews, cousins and a
host of friends.
She awaits the call of the Life-giver.
