Sedrick Hubert Baxter was born on January 19, 1928 on the beautiful
Island of Nevis to the now deceased parents of Alice Maude Baxter and
Emanuel Baxter. He attended Charleston Boys School Upon gradua-
tion he then trained to be a carpenter at which he succeeded. At the
tender age of 22 he relocated to the island of St. Thomas where he worked
for various firms in the hotel industry. He then met and married Deleta
Frett and from this union they had eight children. Sedrick was very quiet
and loving. He was a kind father who showed extreme concern for
family and friend a like, and was well liked by all who came in contact
with hem.
His last job was at Bluebeard's Castle where he worked as a security
guard. He became ill in October of 1994 and on January 18, 1995, he
accepted the Lord as a Savior. His favorite hymn was "Will Your Anchor
Hold." On January 31, 1995, at 3:20 pm, Sedrick departed this life to rest
with his heavenly father. Rest on and rest in peace. We all love you and
we will miss you.

p noWeep nt, Weept,
He is not dead;
He's resting in the bosom of Jesus.
Heartbroken wife weep no more;
Left-lonesome daughters weep no more;
Deep-mourning relatives weep no more;
He's only just gone home;
He resting in the bosom of Jesus.

HYMN 427 ................ Through All the Changing Scenes of Life

Daddy, today my heart is full of joy and sorrow. I can't help but laugh
when I think of all the things we did together. Daddy, you are gone but
beyond a shadow of a doubt, your memory will live on because you've
given so much. It is almost impossible to look back on all those years of
change and even a few disappointments and not see you there. The
phone will ring but it won't be you, I will come home, but you won't be
there. You were such an important part of so many happy memories that
will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, my dear dad, I love you and will
miss you.
Your daughter Lydia

You have been a loving, caring and giving father to me for 42 years
without many complaints and fussing. You were always understanding
when I was in trouble, without pointing a finger or blame. There aren't
many fathers like you left in this world today. Thanks for being my
father and thanks for being there when I needed you. I miss and love you
very much. I will always love you. Rest in peace.
Your daughter Bernice

Dad, you are one of the kindest fathers I have ever known. As a father
you have always been there for me when I need you most. There will
always be a special place in my heart for you and now that you are gone,
you will not be forgotten. I know that one day we will meet again. Rest
in peace. I love you.
Your daughter Hyacinth

A special tribute to a wonderful and dedicated father .... Your love
and protection for us all was well accepted in our hearts and minds. To
realize all that you were, all the smiles and advice you had to share on
days we all had problems, was a great gift. As you appeared in the
doorway of our home, a frown would turn upside down and a big smile
would come from all of us. We thank you for the times you spent and the
love you shared with us. Rest in peace, daddy, we love you.
Your sons, Rudel, Jerry, Curtis, Ira

Beloved Grandfather ... You were always special to me. You always
were there when their was a problem that no one else would understand.
You were, are and will always be a loving caring, understanding and
humorous person. I love you and there will always be a special place in
my heart for you. But now it's time to let you go. God is waiting over on
the other shore and the next tide will bring you in. Rest in peace.
Tiffany Christian

Daddy ... Sadness, pain, anger, these are some of the things we feel
today. No one else will get the chance to know how loving, kind and
generous you were. You were always there when we needed you. We
will miss your physical presence but live in the knowledge that spiritu-
ally you will be watching us from a distance. Rest in peace.
Your grandsons, amal, Rudel, Jr., Russell, Raseed, Ir IIr., Shandell, Jammal

Daddy, it is hard to accept the reality that you are gone. Words can
never say enough for all that you have done for me. You always tried
your best to keep me on a straight and narrow path. At times when you
lectured me, I thought you were a little bit over protective, but that was
your way of showing love and concern. As I stand here today, I realize
that you had traveled that long, rock road of life and you were trying to
pave a smooth path for me. Daddy, even though you are gone, you will
never be forgotten because I will always hold these memories of you
close to my heart. Rest in peace and I love you Daddy.
Love always, Diane

Grandpa ... Thank you for the times we've shared. We love you and
will mis you. Rest in peace, Da-Da.
Your granddaughters, Keisha, Tishell, Rashida, Elecia, Jennell

To Daddy... When you were here to talk to, I found it very difficult to
come and talk to you. But now that you are gone I have so much to tell
you. I wish I had taken the time out and told you what you meant to me.
Daddy, you were a very special person to me. In other words, you had
three-quarters of the love from my heart and that three-quarters will
never die, no matter what happens to me. You will always be in my
heart; for the love I have for you i everlasting. May you ret in peace.
Lov always, your belod granddaughter, LaToya Bter

Daddy ... You were the kind of person a granddaughter like me was
glad to have. You were always there for me, no matter what you had to
go through to help me. You were always there to give me an extra push
in life.
Your granddaughter Alma Baxter

Grandpa ... You are gone but not forgotten. You tried your very best
to help me in what I tried to do and I thank God for having a grandpa like
you. Rest in peace.

Daddy ... Even though I heard of your illness, I never believed you
would have left us this soon. I pray God that you will be relieved of all
pain and suffering. Now that you are gone we grieve, but are contented
to know that you are at peace.
Velda and girls

Sleep on my beloved
Take your rest.
,ay down your head on your Savior's breast.
3 love you, but od loves you best.
So sleep on my love,
'3ou have earned your rest.

This is only farewell, not good-bye
Jor we'll meet again in the sweet by and by
Jlround god's throne we will reunite
So until that time, my love, good night.
Your loving wife, Deleta
