Abstract: The Enid M. Baa Library of the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums (DLAM) has acquired an extensive collection of memorial booklets since the early 1970's for U. S. Virgin Islands residents. Booklets are usually more than 10 pages long and give details of the life and family connections of the deceased.

John Napoleon Aubein was bum February 18, 1935 i St
Thmnar. Virgin Islands to Clmencia Magras Aubain and Isidore Aubun
I Ic was the second sn of eighteen children His early education was at St
Peter and Paul School

As a young xby growing up m Frenchlown, he loved the sea This
led to has becoming a fisherman in us adult life

On February 2. 1975 John married Brmcc Creque From that
union came six children and one stepson.

John supplement his incme by gardening and painting to provide
for his growing family. Later John and Demace divorced, but his love for
has children continued until hls passing

John left thi4 world on November 9.1995.
