SOME 250 Caribbean ar-
tists arrived over the week-
end to take part in the three-
week Caribbean Festival of
Creative Arts which has
entered its second week.
And minutes after their
arrival the visitors had be-
come absorbed in the big
family scene at Festival City..
The largest of the six
groups was a 90-member
team from Cayenne, French
Guiana. The others included
the 36-memnber Kingstown
Choral Group of St. Vincent,
led by Mr. T. V. Keane, Per-
manent Secretary of the
Ministry of Education of that
Island, a 60-memlber group
from St. Lucia led by Mr.
Charles Cadet, Permanent
Secretary to the Office of
the Preniier of that territory.
The Antigua "Liftle Theatre"
Group of 33 is also here un-
der its Director Oliver Flax
to perform for about a week
the Legend of Prince Klass,
a play based on the slave re-
volt in Antigua.'
Also here is the Writers'
Workshop of Barbados, a
group of 20 which will put
on an "Experimental Musi-
cal Play, called "Uncharged"
at the Theatre Guild to-
morrow. A 20-strong team
from Trinidad is also here to
represent that territory for.
the first time since Carifesta
started.
