Pageant to be staged during

Doris Harper-Wills, various
aspects of Guyanese folklore
would be portrayed.
Among some of the every-
day scenes would! be the
country folk going through
their daily chores, the pork-

knockers and their way of
life in the interior of G4-
ana, the newspaper child who
helps his mother make ends
meet and various bits of the
six races' culture.
Life of the indigenous peo-
ple also forms a part of the
programme, and this includes
the different tribes and their
customs. The Pageant will be
brought to an end with the
celebration of Mashramana
