STEELJBANDS drawn from
Georgetown and its environs
will entertain members of the
public at a series of spot con-
certs during the weekends of
Carifesta '72. The concerts,
which have been arranged by
the Guyana Steelband Asso-
ciation, will commence to-
morrow, the first day of Cari-
festa. in the downtown shoo-
ping areas of Company Path.
Bookers Stores, Regent Street.
Main Street and J. P. Santos
Water Street from 4.30
Bands to be heard are
the Guvbau Invaders. Demto-
co Silvertones. El Dorado
Steelband. Guyana Defence
Force. Guyana Police Force
and the Buxton Serenaders.
On Saturday, August 26,
the Demtoco Silvertones.
Guybau Invaders and the
Chronicle Atlantic Symphony
will be playing at Festival
City from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Tomorrow. the Chronicle
Atlantic Symphony will ac-
company Mr. David Lanyi in
iis portrayal of Carifesta de-
signs at the National Park at
5.30 p.n.
