LOUISE BENNETT, Ja-
maican folklorist and author
of the glowing "Jamaica La-
brish' will fly in at Timehri
International Airport to-
night, just a few hours after
the arrival .of Brazilian folk
dancers and musicians; as the
influx of overseas entertain-
ers for the Caribbean Festi-
val of Creative Arts gets into
full swing.
At the festival, Louise
Bennett will appear on stage
together with' Guyana's
Auntie Cumsee, that earthy
radio personality who had
enlivened many a lunch hour.
And at Festival City, where
the artists will be- housed,
specially trained maids have
already moved in with their
brooms and other paraphena-
lia to provide a spic and span
welcome.
Tickets for the Carifesta
events went on sale in the
city yesterday and the Sec.
retariat has announced that
more than three-quarters of
the tickets for the various
shows will cost only one dol-
lar
All events at the Cultural
Centre and Queen's College
will have tickets going for.
only one dollar, while lust a
few for these centres will:
cost $3 and $5.
The majority of the tickets
at the Theatre Guild Play-
house, St. Rose's High School
and the National Park will
also cost on1v one dollar,
