Ridley to

sing at.

CARIFESTA
GUYA.A famous vocal
soloist and musician Stanley
Ridley will arrive shortly in
Guyana to play a leading
role in the Legend of Kaie-
teur the country's main
presentation at CARIFESTA.
He will sing the part
formally sung by Fred-Tal-
bot who is now Guyana's
Permanent Representative to
the United Nations.
Mr. Ridley has just ob-
tained a First Class Honour
Bsc. at London University in
addition to the Kings College
London University Engineer-
ing Association Medal and
the Medal and Premium of
the Institution of Civil En-
gineering.
Guyanese will remember
Mr. Ridley for his perform-
ances at the Guyana Musie
Festival when he won the
Adult Vocal Solo Champion-
ship.
After his appearance in the
Legend of Kaieteur Mr. Rid-
ley will do an extra year
>f study abroad after which
'he will return to Guyana to
make his contribution in the
fields of music and engineer-
ing.
