Abstract: Martin Goolsarran, Head of the CARIFESTA Sub-Committee for Film talks about the Caribbean Film Festival, scheduled to run from 23-30 August 2008. Showcase of thirty-six films including full-length features, shorts and documentaries produced by Caribbean filmmakers. Article looks at the work of Guyanese filmmaker, Michael James and the parallel mini film festival organised by the Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD), featuring films from the Bahamas, Belize, Cuba, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
