Abstract: This illegibly tiny image is fortunately offset by illustrations of Carifesta '76 honorees. These are either paintings or photos of Marcus Mosiah Garvey of Jamaica, the host country; José Martí of Cuba; Toussaint L'Ouverture of Haiti; Benito Juárez of Mexico; and Simón Bolívar of Venezuela. All of these heroes of liberation have provided inspiration, not only to citizens of their own countries but to people all over the world who think critically and strive for freedom.
