Abstract: In "Festival City," a microcosmic city within the city of Georgetown, Guyana the process is under way to build housing for the guest artists of CARIFESTA '72. Festival City is not only designed as an everyday city but each home is provided with all the comforts of home if not more, so it features the best of both worlds, with municipal services yet hedges instead of fences. At least one model is open for inspection.
General Note: Clipping from July 16, 1972, page 15.
Funding: Support for the development of the technical infrastructure and partner training provided by the United States Department of Education TICFIA program.
