 Notes
Abstract: The poet Robin Ravales, also known as Dobru, perhaps in light of the coming CARIFESTA but not mentioning it, recounts the history of oppressed indigenous and Black populations in the Caribbean, their indomitable spirit and their liberators of all races. From there, the document is illegible but seems to follow the lines of reminding its readers that the independence was hard-won, still must be fought for in order to sustain, and is to be commemorated in a public ceremony.
General Note: Author of article is also known as Robin Ravales. Clipping from July 1981, page 11
