The traveling exhibition and tour are funded by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to the New York Historical Society and Organized by: the Gilder L ehrman Institute of American History, and th e American Library Association. We are excited at the level of interest shown in support of the project. The attached is a draft description related to the exhibit and envisioned associated activities.
