Her professional experience includes12yearsasHuman Resource Administrator in the libraries at the UniversityofMaryland andYaleUniversity.Shehasa long affiliationwiththe AssociationofCollege and Research Libraries(ACRL)and was instrumental in the design and deliveryofseveralofthe management training programmes including theACRL/Harvard Leadership Institute in partnershipwithHarvard Graduate SchoolofEducation.Sheisnowamemberofthefacultyforthis annualevent.Ms. Sullivanisa Past PresidentofACRL(1998-1999) and Past PresidentofLibrary Administration and Management Association (1988-1989).In2010 she was chosenasthe Academic Research Librarianofthe year and in Juneofthis year at the annual conference in California, she was electedasPresidentofALAforthe 2012-2013 year.
